Forged copper and steel poinsettia Christmas tree ornament. After cutting out the blanks on my CNC plasma table, I texture all the pedals and leaves by hand with chisel and hammer on a wooden block. Then I forge out the stem by hand from 3/8 inch square stock and forge a 1/4 inch tenon on the other side. I rivet on the leaves and pedals and then add the detail in the middle. I then shape the stem and the pedals by hand. I finish off the poinsettia with two coats of gloss clear coat to prevent the copper from tarnishing.
These are the perfect hand made decoration to brighten up your Christmas season. Perfect for a memorable gift or for yourself.
The flower measure approximately 3 3/8 inches in diameter and from the top of the stem to the bottom of the flower is about 5 1/2 inches.
