These are a traditional tool used to hold logs in place while hewing the log or working on joints.
I forge these from 5/8 square stock, overall length is about 19.5 inches long and the spikes are about 7 inches long forged 90 degrees to each other, forged square corners, and decorative rope twist in the middle.
The forged square corners are stronger than just bent corners, and they provide a flat surface to strike with your hammer or the pole of your axe.
The spikes being forged 90 degrees to each other provide better holding strength, enabling the spike to be drive with the grain instead against the grain.
Price is for a pair.
