They measure approximately 5.25 inches long with about a 2.5-inch long cutting edge and weigh between 11 and 12 ounces. I hand sharpen these to a razor's edge. They come mounted to a 14-inch long, hand-carved hickory handle. The size of these would be similar to what the size of a colonial era belt axe would be.
